To each negotiated cash sale price of each vehicle, a documentary fee may be added for the handling documents and performing services related to closing of a sale. The maximum amount that may be charged for a documentary fee is $172.15. Additionally, dealers may charge a fee not to exceed $25 for the optional service of electronically processing vehicle titling and registration and for providing registration plates or stickers. The only other additional charges permitted are dealer added options, warranties, and service contracts , insurance and actual cost of license and title registration and taxes Excludes tax, tag, title and registration.
